We don’t call this the “Go shopping in your wardrobe service” for nothing.

Clients are often astounded at what we pull out and re-work back into their current dressing and style routine. Often it just takes a fresh set of experienced eyes to interlining fabric help you see the wood from the trees, or the garment from the wardrobe in this case.

Granted there are often a lot of items that will need to go (we are usually called in when ones wardrobe has gotten way out of control and is overflowing with redundant items), but you can feel good about this too. Along with the mental lightness from being free of these old items, you will know that they will be helping others and continue to be worn (through the charity shops), and additionally you might even make some money back when we take any of your good quality or designer clothes to the second hand boutiques.

We don’t have a specific page for our wardrobe detox/wardrobe de-clutter/ go shopping in your wardrobe service so thought we’d outline here why ours is so great! Our process is so comprehensive Woven Interlining, it sets the stage for shopping for the items you only really need vs what you think you might need and saves you a lot of wasted time and money.

Our service is very hands on and the process is as follows:

* You get to sit back and relax while we do the work. Really. While you go off and do some gardening, make some calls, have a coffee we will go through your wardrobe section by section determining what to keep or discard. We call you back in when we run out of space for sorting, or when we’ve done an exceptionally large section and then go through our 3 designated piles of give away, sell and keep, to ensure you are happy with and understand why our selection. We go through every item with you quickly to explain (if it is not already self evident) why we think you should ‘keep’ this, or ‘give’ that to charity.

* Next we show you how to rework any items that you might think don’t work any more. Sometimes a bit of dressing and trying out is involved here so you can fully appreciate any new concepts Woven Interlining. We advise if items can be altered to be made look current again and saving you buying new, plus advise on all items that should be repaired, especially shoes. We then arrange to do this for you and later pick up and return everything to you in its revitalised state.

* All items are then packed neatly and in colour ordered fashion into your wardrobe so that you are able to choose your outfits with ease. We also separate your current season wardrobe from the opposing one ie. your winter from summer clothes, and then put them away either in the guest wardrobe cupboard or suitcase, anywhere convenient for you ideally so long as it is out of site. This not only make your current wardrobe more manageable, but also means you see your stored wardrobe with fresh eyes when you pull it out the following season comes around, making them feel new all over again.

* We also advise that you should have all matching hangers; again this reduces the mental clutter, makes your wardrobe more appealing visually so that you will feel excited to face it each day. We purchase and implement these on your behalf.

* After this process is finished we are able to see the real gaps missing in your wardrobe and can then plan and discuss a shopping strategy for you, for either yourself or us to implement. It’s that easy and pain free.
